Microsoft at MWC 2015 in Barcelona announced two new Lumias namely Lumia 640 and the larger Lumia 640 XL.
Microsoft have now been launching the phone in different parts of the world.
And finally the two Lumia come to India today.
Both the smartphones are identical to each other in terms of design but differ in sizes and camera specs where Lumia 640 has 8MP Rear and 0.9MP front camera and Lumia 640 Xl has 13MP Rear and 5MP front facing camera.
One distinct spec of the smartphones are that they will be the first devices to get the Windows 10 for Phones as a stable update when Windows 10 will comes later this year.

Microsoft also announced that the Lumia 640 will be also sold exclusively via Flipkart from today.
Both of the smartphones are available in both single sim and dual sim with options of 3G and 4G variant.
The smartphones which launched today are the Dual sim 3G variants.
Microsoft didn't talked about launching the 4G variant in India whereas the Indian website shows the Lumia 640 XL 4G variant as coming soon.
